Code Violation Rectification
If you receive a code violation notice, it is best not to attempt modifications or corrections on your own. The current UPC (Uniform Plumbing Code) is comprised of countless thousands of requirements, and there are many local requirements on top of those. The listed violations may be difficult for you to interpret, and while correcting a listed violation, you may inadvertently create another. The administrative authority may expect to see corrections performed by a licensed plumber anyway, so it is prudent to employ one and give the inspector one less issue to hold over your head.
